91% of companies will adopt ‘hybrid’ way of working in post-pandemic future

Nine out of ten companies in Argentina plan to adopt a “hybrid” work scheme in the post-pandemic future, a new survey has revealed.

Of the 250 firms consulted in the poll, conducted by the D’Alessio IROL market research firm for the Institute for Business Development in Argentina (IDEA), 91 percent said they intended to mix in-person office attendance with remote work options. 

Of those consulted, 63 percent said they would adopt a “hybrid mode, with a few days of teleworking,” while another 28 percent said that they would allow a “hybrid methodology, but only for those who can continue to work from home.”

“Teleworking is consolidating. More than 90 percent of companies would adopt a hybrid scheme and the trend is increasing,” wrote the report’s authors, who concluded that a process of digital transformation was now reaching “practically all companies” in what it described as an "inalienable and irreversible phenomenon."

Underlining that the change, 95 percent of companies polled said they thought digital innovation could in turn improve productivity. Seven out of 10 firms, meanwhile, said they were “reducing the use of paper” in their workplaces.

Workforce and diversity

Illustrating the changing make-up of companies in Argentina, 76 percent of firms said they were applying gender diversity policies to their work, while 41 percent had incorporated strategies to employ people with disabilities.

A further 82 percent said they were implementing inclusive policies, while 66 percent said they wanted to see changes in hiring conditions as a condition for increasing employment.

Of the firms, 52 percent said that tax incentives were required from the government to hire more staff.
