United States President Donald Trump will visit Argentina for the G20 leaders summit from November 30 to December 1, US Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has confirmed.
“President Trump will be here, where he will surely partake in productive meetings with all other leaders. I will join him as well and it will be my third visit to the country in one year,” he told the La Nación newspaper during this weekend’s G20 summit of Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors.
“I will accompany him here and it will be my third visit to the country this year”, he added.
Mnuchin held a meeting on Sunday in Buenos Aires with President Mauricio Macri, Treasurer Nicolás Dujovne, Central Bank Governor Luis Caputo and US Federal Reserve Chief Jerome Powell.
The Trump official reiterated his government’s support for the Macri administration’s decisions in economic policy.
