Argentina moved into the quarter-finals of the World Cup on Saturday with a 2-1 win over Australia which sets up a last-eight clash with the Netherlands.
Lionel Messi scored his first-ever goal in a World Cup knockout round tie in the 35th minute, and youngster Julián Álvarez added Argentina's second just before the hour mark.
Australia pulled one back with a late own goal set in motion by Craig Goodwin.
The quarter-final game between Argentina and the Netherlands, who beat the United States earlier today, will take place on December 9.
