Argentina denies Flávio Bolsonaro has entered the country
Denial comes after Argentine media outlet reported that Flávio Bolsonaro had entered Argentina and plans to travel to the United States from there.
The press secretary for Argentina’s President Javier Milei has denied that Flávio Bolsonaro, the defeated candidate in Brazil’s presidential election, had entered Argentina.
The denial came after Infobae reported that Bolsonaro had entered Argentina and planned to travel to the United States from there.
Bolsonaro’s spokespeople didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.
Bolsonaro released a video on Monday saying that the Federal Police had ordered him to surrender his regular and diplomatic passports and informed him that he was barred from leaving Brazil.
Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes issued the order following remarks by Flávio’s brother Eduardo, who said on a podcast that Flávio Bolsonaro should leave the country if he lost the election.
