Coronavirus infections near 1.2 million
Death toll rises to 30,792; more than 13,000 new cases confirmed Friday.
The Health Ministry confirmed more than 13,000 new confirmed cases and 350 new deaths of Covid-19 yesterday at press time, taking infections since start of the pandemic close to 1.2 million.
A total of 1,157,179 individuals have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in Argentina since March, with the death toll now standing at 30,792.
According to government data, 4,981 people remain hospitalised with the virus in intensive care units (ICUs) nationwide, with bed occupancy at 64.4 percent.
Of the 13,379 new cases recorded Friday, the highest numbers were seen in the provinces of Buenos Aires (3,830), Santa Fe (2,140) Córdoba (1,601) and Tucumán (1,011).
